About The Warm House Project
Creating warmth in the real world — through struggle, connection, resilience, and the small moments that keep us going.
Our Story

The Warm House Project was born from a place many parents know well, the quiet moments after the kids go to bed, when the house finally settles and the weight of the day sits heavy on your shoulders. The bills, the schedules, the relationships to nurture, the responsibilities to juggle… the endless emotional and mental load that parents carry quietly, every single day.
Our home isn’t perfect not even close. We’re navigating life in a world that feels increasingly demanding, expensive, and overwhelming. We have good days, hard days, and days where survival feels like the only goal. But somewhere in the middle of all the chaos, mistakes, laughter, and exhaustion, we discovered something important:
Warmth isn’t about perfection.
It’s about intention, community, and choosing to show up even when life is heavy.
Over the years, friends and family have come to me not just for parenting tips or kid-friendly ideas, but for relationship advice, emotional support, and honest conversations about life’s messiest moments. I’ve always believed that it truly takes a village and that village doesn’t always look like we expect it to. Sometimes it starts with one person saying, “Hey, I get it. Me too.”
This blog is my way of opening the door to our home and sharing what we’ve learned the real parts, the hard parts, and the hopeful parts. I’m building this space not just to connect with others, but to build a future for my family. To grow something meaningful. To use our experiences, struggles, and small victories to help other families find steadiness, comfort, and community in their own lives.
We’re not perfect people creating a perfect home.
We’re real people creating a warm one for ourselves, our children, our friends, our neighbors, and anyone who finds their way here.
Welcome to The Warm House Project.
I’m glad you’re here.
Meet The Family

We’re the family behind The Warm House Project a full, lively home built on love, patience, and lots of teamwork. Our crew includes me and my husband Mark, our son Tobin, our daughter Hadley, my brother Bret, and his fiancée, Christine.
Tobin is our oldest a transgender, autistic, musically gifted soul with a gentle heart and theatrical spirit. Hadley is our youngest full of fire, big emotions, and a whole lot of personality. Bret is my brother, and the best uncle around, he has cerebral palsy and brings pure joy and kindness into every room he enters, and Christine is the crafty, helpful one always ready to jump in and lend a hand. Mark is our steady backbone, working hard to keep our family supported, and I’m the glue that holds us all together, managing the home, caregiving, communicating, routines, and the everyday chaos that comes with a big, loving household.
We’re not perfect, and we don’t pretend to be. We juggle finances, neurodiversity, caregiving, big feelings, and real-life stress just like so many families today. But we show up for each other, laugh through the messy parts, and work every day to create a warm, intentional home filled with honesty and heart.
The Warm House Project is our way of sharing what we’ve learned along the way, offering support, and building something meaningful for our family and for yours. We’re glad you’re here.
